Take an old folk song, add new lyrics with contemporary references... You get the picture. Bob Wooler gets a name check, and "Farewell to old KD" may either be taken to be a reference to the Kardomah Cafe or to KD Robinson, headmaster of Birkenhead School (attended by Mike).
